ravenousravishingI've had the idea of doing a little 'weekly report' regarding writing! I could easily do this in my notes-- and I already track my writing sessions in my lovely bullet journal-- and I thought there might be a sense of accountability if I posted something here. Maybe. It's something to try. And I'd be using this blog! If it doesn't work out, well, I just won't continue it. I'll put a cut before the little sections begin. I'm not going to hold myself to making notes Every Time I write, so some posts will be much less in depth summaries.

Worked on a year+ old WIP for Bloodborne! Father Gascoigne gets plenty of attention, yet there's not a lot written for him. Or, at least, not a lot posted to AO3. So I decided it'd be fun to write something with my hunter OC [Bellamy] and Father Gascoigne... and then left it alone for a year, lol!! I got a good portion bullet point'd out, which is nice. I hit a major brick wall whenever it comes to writing the sex part of something, and this piece is... just porn. With the tiniest bit of plot mention.

A friend and I had a conversation [in 2023] about a 'tiny write' about their OC and Mr. Astarion Baldur's Gate, I started it in October [2023]... and then hit a wall because I got to the jerkin' off section. Rip. But!!! Today, December 9th of 2024, I got the middle/end bullet point drafted! Yay!! I noticed that I wrote for 15 minutes, which seems to be my usual pace. I seem to struggle with writing beyond 10-15 minutes, rip...
12/9/2024 PART 2!: GUESS WHO FINISHED A FIRST DRAFT OF THAT OC/ASTARION PIECE! I made a goal of finishing the 1st draft this week, and then 30 minutes later it was done, LMAO. Yippee!

Today I've decided to work on outlining a piece based upon a Pathologic animatic. A friend and I have gotten the 'patho plague', so to speak, and I've greatly enjoyed playing the game [I'm on day 3, and playing easy mode, lol]. PLEASE watch the animatic if you have any interest in Pathologic, it's a piece of art!! Anyway, I got like 2 lines added to the outline and stopped for the morning, because I keep hitting mental walls with this piece, r i p. I might not write anymore today, and it was still a success to look back over what I have for the outline.

Alas, not all went according to plan. My goal to finish outlining 'Breezeblocks' was not met... but I did meet my original goal for the week [first draft of a different piece]!! So honestly, that's a win. I think in future writing check-ins I may just do it on Saturday and round up my thoughts from the whole week. I just don't think I'll keep up with a daily thing, lol.
