A quick little thing to say that I met my writing goal for March! I don't know how I wrote 10 days this month, but I did. Hooray!

I haven't posted since... um... December 2024.

I wanted to write more often for this blog. My intention for it was to have a place to chatter [publicly] about my writing and writing thoughts. I haven't had much to say AND a feeling that I don't actually have anything worthwhile to say. Which is something that plagues me throughout a lot of my life, aha.

Writing habit wise, January went pretty well. I sat down and wrote on 8 days! My goal was 10, and this was still a huge jump from my usual 4 days. Aaaaaand then in February I wrote... twice. Lol. Lmao even.

I want to give myself some grace, though. I'm back in college, and I have to acknowledge that this is a huge stressor and time consuming.

The thing about goal setting is that you have to set aside other things to focus on stuff. Like, there's only so many hours in the day and such. So to do one thing you'll probably have to set something[s] to the side, or reduce your involvement in/with them.

So, for me, going back to school means that I don't do as much hobby stuff [not just writing!]. I guess that's just something I have to accept.

Just today I managed to sit down and work on planning/draft 0'ing a scene. It was part of a project that's become difficult, because I've ended up revamping and reworking it.

I think it's more important that I acknowledge the progress I have made instead of the progress I'd planned on. Does that make sense? Hm.

Well. This has been an entry. There's a fun post from GYWO that I want to make a full post, not just a post reply, so that might be something I post/write soon.

I start a lot of projects. I jump from project to project, starting new ones, revisiting old ones. It takes time for me to finish something. There's nothing wrong with that, especially since I do these things for fun, not monetary gain/employment.

I've had the idea of doing a little 'weekly report' regarding writing! I could easily do this in my notes-- and I already track my writing sessions in my lovely bullet journal-- and I thought there might be a sense of accountability if I posted something here. Maybe. It's something to try. And I'd be using this blog! If it doesn't work out, well, I just won't continue it. I'll put a cut before the little sections begin. I'm not going to hold myself to making notes Every Time I write, so some posts will be much less in depth summaries.
